Emily White

Executive Officer

Emily has been working in the public health sector for over 20 years. This includes working alongside all levels of government, not for profit agencies, health and other organisations and diverse communities. Emily has a Master of Public Health and other related qualifications and is a recent graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Strategy, risk, finance and governance were key areas of study.

She has recently returned to the Executive Officer position following her 16 month appointment as Manager Community Recovery at East Gippsland Shire Council following the Black Summer fires. Through this work, Emily has gained a richer understanding of issues impacting the East Gippsland community and has created further connections and lasting patnerships.

Emily is passionate about the wellbeing of East Gippsland and looks forward to focusing on systems thinking, primary prevention and strategic partnerships to achieve quality outcomes with our community.

Glenn Bury

Partnership Facilitator

Glenn has been working in the education and community development sectors for the last 18 years; most recently in a school and community hub. Prior to that, he was a careers and welfare coordinator in the vocational training sector. Glenn is passionate about rural men’s mental health and improving access and opportunities for young people in regional areas. Glenn holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences with distinction, majoring in Psychology and Human Services, a Diploma in Community Development and Certificate IV in workplace Training and Assessment.

Originally from East Gippsland, Glenn has strong family and community ties to the local area. Having spent time living in Melbourne, Perth and the northern NSW coast, Glenn moved back to the area to build a house and settle with his family. Glenn loves surfing and is a passionate musician who can often be found on weekends performing with various live bands. Ask him where you can see his next gig!

Sascha Johns

Partnership Facilitator

Sascha has over 20 years experience working in the community, state and local government sectors. Most recently in senior management at East Gippsland Shire Council, she was responsible for leading teams in community development, emergency management, bushfire recovery, library services, and community engagement. Prior to that she worked in the not for profit sector, working with homeless young women and in community mental health. Sascha also worked for the Transport Accident Commission in the Child and Youth Team and ran her own business for five years.

Sascha is passionate about reducing inequities that impact on health and wellbeing and is a strong advocate for collaborative work to shift health outcomes for the community. Sascha holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Promotion (Hons) with a major in Psychology, and undertook her Honours year researching Health Promotion in schools.

Sascha and her family have lived in East Gippsland since 2010, but spent many years exploring the Gippsland Lakes by boat prior to moving here. Sascha is also a Director of her family tourism business, Riviera Nautic, located at the picturesque mouth of Chinamans Creek in Metung. With a love of the outdoors she can often be found with her gumboots on, digging in her garden, or curled up in a sunny spot reading a book.

Brigitte Bence

Executive Administrator

Brigitte has over 15 years experience working in local and state government roles. This includes Executive Administration, Corporate Planning and Economic Development. Brigitte enjoys applying her knowledge to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and streamlining of processes.

Brigitte enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and animals. Born and raised in East Gippsland, Brigitte is passionate about contributing to an organisation that makes a difference to her community..

Nakita Dyer

Project Support

Nakita has worked in adminsitration roles for over 10 years, she was born and raised in East Gippsland. Nakita is passionate about giving back to the East Gippsland community through her role within the EGPCP were she supports the team with projects, you may come across her on one of the local committees she's apart of or exploring the outdoors with her family.
